Create and design new things is my passion. It doesn't matter if it's something I can touch with my hands, draw on a sheet of paper, or a software that runs on a microcontroller or within a cloud infrastructure. I love sitting in front of a whiteboard and think how to solve challenging problems.

I decided to study computer science engineering because I discovered that writing algorithms to control mechanical systems like robots was fun. On my way I discovered the world of dynamic system, simulation and mathematical modeling. I worked in this area during my PhD and after when I joined the Lawrence Berkeley National Laboratory. If interested you can find more information here.

Nowadays I'm working as a data scientist for a startup called Whisker Labs in the San Francisco bay area. Here I'm developing data mining and machine learning algorithms to improve the quality of our data, understand how energy is used and provide feedback to our customers.
